BTP Rewards Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Boston Tea Party Rewards – our way of saying thank you for choosing us to fuel your mornings, hash brown cravings, and all those in-between moments.

Whenever we say “we”, “us”, or “our”, we mean Boston Tea Party Limited. When we say “you” or “your”, we mean you – our lovely customer who’s using Boston Tea Party Rewards.

1. Who We Are

We’re Boston Tea Party Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 5302325, with our registered office at 75 Park Street, Bristol BS1 5PF.

2. Joining Boston Tea Party Rewards

Joining Boston Tea Party Rewards is totally free. All you need to do is sign up, either when you Order & Pay at Table, or online here. If you already have an account for Order & Pay at table, you’re automatically enrolled in the Rewards programme – it’s all in the same place.

You don’t need to download an app – your digital stamp card lives safely in your online account ready to collect stamps and serve up tasty rewards, and you can also add your membership card to your Apple or Google wallet.

3. Earning Stamps

Here’s how it works:

  • You earn 1 digital stamp every time you visit a Boston Tea Party café. There’s a minimum spend, currently £3.80.
  • Only one stamp per calendar day
  • You can earn stamps whether you're dining in or ordering through Deliveroo.
  • Takeaway customers who bring a reusable cup get a bonus stamp (yep, we love you more for helping us ditch single-use cups). Note: this applies to takeaway orders only, not eat-in.
  • Your stamp will be added automatically when you’re logged into your account and place a qualifying order. Ordering at the till? Just scan your membership QR code or let the team know your membership number. Ordering using the QR code at your table? Make sure you log in and your stamp will be automatically added once you’ve placed your order.
  • First-timers: you’ll get your first stamp as a welcome gift just for signing up. If you already have an Order & Pay at Table account, you’ll have received your first stamp when we launched the Loyalty scheme on 1st May 2025.

Unfortunately, stamps can’t be earned on:

  • Orders made through third-party delivery services (excluding Deliveroo)
  • Transactions under £3.80
  • Multiple visits on the same day
  • Gift Card purchases in cafes or online

Stamps may expire if you haven’t earned any for an extended period of time. Don’t worry, we’ll give you plenty of warning before this happens!

4. Keeping Track of Your Stamps

All your stamps live in your online account. It’s the same account you use if you’ve logged in to our Order and Pay at Table.  Just log in to check how close you are to your next reward.

5. Rewards: What You Get & How to Claim

Once you collect 9 stamps, you’ll get a reward voucher to redeem one of the following:

  • A medium barista-made drink worth up to £3.80 (choose from Americano, Latte, Cappuccino, Flat White or any tea)
  • A pile of our legendary hash browns worth £4.95 (they’re homemade, golden, potato perfection)

You can redeem your reward in any Boston Tea Party café by showing your reward voucher at the till. It’s valid for 12 months from the date you earn it.

One reward per redemption. We may change the rewards and/or maximum value from time to time. No cash alternative. No part-redemptions. Just deliciousness.

6. Birthday & Surprise Rewards

We love birthdays – and yours is no exception. If you opt in to our marketing emails, you’ll get a little birthday treat from us.

We also like to throw in surprise rewards throughout the year, but only if you're on our mailing list. So go on, opt in!

7. Other Important Bits

  • Stamps and rewards are linked to your account and can’t be transferred or combined with other accounts.
  • If you think there’s been a mistake with your stamps or rewards, get in touch ([email protected]) and we’ll sort it out.
  • Rewards must be used before the expiry date – we can’t extend them once they’ve expired.
  • We reserve the right to modify or withdraw the Rewards programme at any time, including the minimum spend, allocation of stamps and reward options (but we’ll always give you a heads-up by email if big changes are coming).
  • If we notice misuse of the programme, we reserve the right to suspend or cancel your account.

8. Cancellation

You can cancel your Boston Tea Party Rewards account any time by using the ‘Delete Account’ option on your My Account profile page, or by contacting us on [email protected]. Just know that if you do, you’ll lose any unused rewards.

9. Our Liability

We don’t limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so (like for personal injury caused by our negligence). But otherwise, our liability to you in connection with this Rewards programme is limited to the value of any unredeemed rewards in your account.

Boston Tea Party Reward Voucher Terms

These Reward Voucher Terms apply to any vouchers you receive as part of the Boston Tea Party Rewards programme. By using a reward voucher, you agree to these terms.

1. What’s a Reward Voucher?

A reward voucher is what you get when you collect 9 stamps through Boston Tea Party Rewards. It entitles you to claim one reward. Rewards may change from time to time but are currently:

  • One medium hot drink (americano, latte, cappuccino, flat white or any tea) up to the value of £3.80
  • One portion of hash browns, up to the value of £4.95

Reward vouchers have no cash value, can’t be exchanged for cash, and are non-transferable.

2. How to Use a Reward Voucher

  • Present your reward voucher in any Boston Tea Party café when placing your order.
  • You must be logged into your account for the voucher to be valid.
  • One reward voucher can be redeemed per transaction.
  • Vouchers cannot be used via third-party delivery services (other than Deliveroo, where applicable).
  • You can’t part-redeem a voucher (so if you use it on a drink worth less than £3.80, the extra value is lost).

3. Validity & Expiry

  • Reward vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date they’re issued.
  • Expired vouchers can’t be reinstated, reissued or refunded – sorry!

4. Other Bits to Know

  • Vouchers can’t be redeemed alongside other promotions unless specifically stated.
  • You can’t use a voucher to claim another reward-earning transaction.
  • We reserve the right to refuse redemption if we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse.

BTP Gift Card Terms and Conditions

·         Buying or using Boston Tea Party (BTP) gift cards (including e-gift cards, pay it forward, venue hire fees or deposit payments), constitutes acceptance of our Terms & Conditions.

·         BTP gift cards have no cash value, and can only be exchanged for goods or services in our cafes, or are bought to ‘pay it forward’ to a named charity or The Boston Foundation (online only).

·         Physical gift cards are only available from your local BTP café.

·         E-gift cards are provided by ‘Toggle’ and are delivered by email to the recipient address you give us. Delayed email delivery on a preferred date is also available. If the email is not received, please check that the email address is correct and check the recipient’s  ‘junk’ folder before getting in touch.

·         ‘Experience’ (i.e. ‘Breakfast for 2’) e-gift cards do not have to be used for a specific menu item or menu, and can be used on anything up to the card value.

·         Venue Hire fees paid through the gift voucher platform should be agreed with the relevant cafe and event details should be added to the order notes, including event name, cafe location and event date. An email receipt will be sent to confirm the order.

·         Gift Cards are valid for 12 months from purchase and physical cards can be topped up again in any cafe. Top-ups will be valid for a further 12 months from transaction date.

·         From time to time BTP may offer a gift card promotion adding extra value or a discount to a gift card purchase. This will apply to specific products only and will only be available on e-gift card orders unless otherwise stated.

·         Any refunds for products purchased using a gift card will be credited to your gift card balance.#

·         BTP will not be held responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged gift cards, however if you have retained your card number you can contact us on [email protected] and we’ll help if we can. To keep your card safe and sound, register it here.

·         It is the responsibility of the gift card holder to spend their voucher before it expires. We aren’t able to honour any expired cards.

Terms and Conditions for Deposits and Venue Hire Fees

1. When Deposits or Hire Fees Apply
We may require a deposit or venue hire fee ahead of your visit to Boston Tea Party. This applies to (but is not limited to) the following:

  • Group bookings
  • Afternoon tea
  • Ticketed events
  • Private hire

2. Booking Confirmation
Booking details, including any required deposit, minimum spend, pre-ordered refreshments, or set menu, will be agreed in advance with the local cafe manager.

3. Payment Methods
Deposits and hire fees can be paid:

  • In person at the cafe
  • Via a secure payment link provided by Boston Tea Party Group Ltd through our third-party provider, Adyen (an email address is required to receive the link)

4. Use of Deposits and Fees

  • Deposits are deducted from your final food and drink bill.
  • Venue hire fees cover use of the space and are not deducted from your food or drink spend.
    We retain deposits only in cases of late cancellation or no-shows, in line with our cancellation policy (see below).

5. Legal Compliance
We handle all deposits in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

6. Cancellation Policy

Please notify your local cafe in person or in writing (email) as soon as possible if you need to cancel. Contact details for all locations can be found here.

  • Afternoon Tea Bookings:
    • Full refund if cancelled at least 3 days in advance
    • Non-refundable if cancelled with less than 3 days’ notice
  • Group Bookings (including Afternoon Tea for 10 or more):
    • Full refund if cancelled at least 7 days in advance
    • Non-refundable if cancelled with less than 7 days’ notice
  • Private Hire and Events:
    • Cancellation terms agreed individually at the time of booking

In the case that you need to reschedule, we’ll always try to find you an alternative date if possible.
