It's Funka season!

Unkle Funka is back and jazzier than ever!

Our pals at Extract Coffee Roasters have taken an amazing experimental coffee from La Marianela in Colombia and have roasted it to funky perfection for this season’s Boston guest coffee.

As Dave, one of the founders of Extract puts it ‘it’s tiny but mighty and funky AF.’

One look at the packaging and you get everything you need to know about this fruity banger of a coffee…it’s a pineapple wearing sunnies for pete’s sake.

If you take your coffee black, expect to taste pineapple, green apple and black pepper.
When you have it as a flat white, latte or other ‘milk-based’ coffee it’s more like piña colada and creme brulée.
Buy some to take home, whack some rum in it and well, we have ourselves a party.

Father and son team Hernan and Pablo Dorronsoro who grew Funka have been to visit us here in Bristol and enjoyed a couple of Boston breakfasts along the way. In return we’ll do our very best to make the most of their incredible coffee beans.
