Recipe: Make our Super Blueberry and Ginger smoothie at home

Whatever the time of year, there’s always a reason to start up that health kick again. Whether it’s to see in the new year, or to strive for that summer body, as we look to up our fruit and veg intake you can almost hear the whizzing of NutriBullets. So if the energy to go on that run doesn’t seem too much of a stretch right now, I’m pleased to say we can help, and it’s a solution that’s been present at BTP for years now. The Super Blueberry Smoothie is one of our best-sellers and contains healthy, tasty ingredients which make this popular all year round.

Blueberries contain anti-oxidants which keep age at bay, cancer in its cage and hearts a’pumping. They’re low in fat and our smoothie contains enough fibre to fulfil your daily requirement. They’re even proven to improve memory ‘recall’.

Ginger can relieve muscle pain from that personal best setting work out, fight infections, lower blood sugars (which lead to diabetes) and, like blueberries, also help out the heart. To round it off we have banana, that you don’t have to go to these lengths to consume. Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals, being one of the easiest ways to get your potassium needs.

  • 10g Ginger
  • 1/2 Banana
  • Ice
