The prizes keep coming!

Forget the Oscars, Golden Globes and The BRITs, its the award season for cafes at the moment too, and we’re delighted to have been awarded Best Cafe 2015 at the recent Food Magazine awards!

The awards are voted for by the public, and highlight the operators that are leading the way in the South West.

Simon (head of drink) and Anita (head of food – both pictured) went along to the ceremony at Yeo Valley HQ and collected the award in front of some of the South West’s finest operators. Simon even did his best Eddie Redmayne impression as he collected our snazzy chopping board award.

This award follows on from our Cafe Life award at the end of 2014 for Best Cafe/Coffee Bar Chain so we’re over the moon to have won both these awards.

We were also up for three gongs at the Sustainable Restaurant Association awards. Simon and I attended the ceremony where unfortunately we didn’t walk away with a prize but we were highly commended for our improvements in our sustainability rating (we have the top 3 star rating), working with other Bristol members to share ideas and best practice, and launching initiatives to raise awareness of The SRA to our customers. It’s certainly spurred us on to continue to improve where we can.

A huge thank you to all those that voted and to our team members for all their hard work. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to achieve these prizes.
